Gloria Alleluia

28.10.22 Bruxelles & 29.10.22 Rivière, France

Gloria! Alleluia! is a festive meeting of voices and cultures, uniting two choirs and an orchestra in a program that celebrates sacred splendor, folk tradition, and musical dialogue across borders.

The first part features Lassenne Vocale under the direction of Ivan Yohan, performing works of luminous intensity and spiritual depth by Xabier Sarasola, Pierre Villette, Ivan Yohan, and Darius Lim. Their shimmering harmonies and radiant exclamations set the tone for a jubilant evening.

The stage then welcomes Familia Cantorum from the Czech Republic, directed by Petr Hoffmann, presenting a vibrant set of traditional Czech folk songs—playful, tender, and rhythmic snapshots of village life.

The second half brings all forces together—Lassenne Vocale, Familia Cantorum, soloists Klára Boudalová (soprano) and Karel Jakubů (baritone), and Familia Cantorum Orchestra—for Jiří Pavlica’s Missa Brevis, a contemporary mass full of lyricism, energy, and heartfelt simplicity.A joyful celebration of choral unity and musical diversity, Gloria! Alleluia! is a concert of exaltation and shared harmony.
